Urban Nexus
Spring 2024
With my team, Mariana Machado, Riccardo Alo, Veronika Pavlova, and Yu-Wei Huang we created Urban Nexus. This system is a refugee camp that utilizes recyclable materials for construction, emphasizing easy setup, and fosters a strong sense of community. The camp will serve as a temporary but dignified living space for immigrants, providing essential facilities, places to build community and strengths, while not impacting the environment negatively.

"Nexus" refers to a central or focal point, often used to describe a connection or link between different elements or entities. In this context, "Urban Nexus" suggests a central point within an urban environment where various living spaces are interconnected, highlighting the project's focus on connectivity and integration.
